Our little readers

Ever since Ashton was a baby, we read him bedtime stories. And it continued with AJ, of course. I have noticed that I don't read as much to Aryk as I did the other boys. This occurred to me on Thursday night after the big boys went to bed. I was putting laundry away, and re-arranging the office (Aryk's new bedroom). Aryk didn't want to sit and watch sports with Jeff, so I had him with me. Here is what kept him happy... Sitting in the Big brother's rocking chair and "reading"! I'm not sure how he stayed sitting so long, but he sure enjoyed it. Ashton is a GREAT reader, and will read to anyone who will listen (or even if they're not). So, even though I may not read Aryk bedtime stories every night, Ashton helps fill in. Last night after Family Scripture Study, Ashton pulled out a library book, laid on the floor, and started reading. Aryk and I were sitting by him, and Aryk was so excited to listen, he kept leaning closer and closer, so I finally laid him down with Ashton.

What sweet brothers!! AJ never wants to read the same book as Ashton, go figure. So he and Jeff sat on the couch to read a different story. I am so glad that my boys enjoy books.

I love the pictures of Aryk in the little chair! Super Cute! I can't believe that he is that old already! It goes by way to fast! That is super great for to have extra readers around. I know my Ashton like to pretend to read already. He just wants to do whatever his big brothers are doing. Cute boys!
