Ashton was on the Yankees again this year. Jeff was his coach again too. Ashton really enjoys having his dad there! This was Ashton's last season of coach pitch.

He had a lot of good hits, runs, and plays at short stop. Way to go Ashton!!

Football

March and April 2010. The boys decided to play flag football. They loved it! They had GREAT coaches and teamates.

Don't forget the fans, of course! Aryk was at EVERY game, cold, sunny, or naptime! It was fun to hang out at the park every Saturday.

AJ played for The Raiders. His coach is a friend of Jeff's and did a wonderful job keeping AJ excited and moving.

Ashton played on The Panthers. They had good season, good coach, and good kids!

These are a series of pictures, where Ashton has the ball and is making a play. He even got a couple of touchdowns!!

Busy Time of Year

Somethings always got to give when things get busy. Unfortunately it was our blog. Here's an update, then more updates to come.

Jeff is still working for BRS Architects, unfortunately they have decided to close on Fridays, cutting back everyone's hours. But we are still doing well. Jeff enjoys BRS and is studying hard to re-take his final exam.

Alyson was recently called as the YW President in the ward. This calling is a new adventure in so many ways. She is enjoying it, so far, and knows that it will just keep getting better. Alyson volunteers at the Boy's school every Friday while Jeff is home. There is a small blessing. Alyson really enjoys couponing and her cooking blog. She is now expanding into vinyl lettering and cake decorating. All the while, still doing Pampered Chef as a VERY limited hobby.
Ashton has been playing basketball and is gearing up for football and then baseball. He is enjoying Cub Scouts, school, and friends as well. AJ also played basketball and will be playing football and baseball, too.Aryk is a very curious and adventurous little guy. He gets into EVERYTHING, doesn't sit still for anything, loves trains, cars, balls, books, and dinosaurs.

CeLeBraTe!

The last weekend of September was The St. Luke's Women's Celebration. This is my second year participating. You may remember... This year was GREAT!

I went to The Women's Show. Aryk tagged along in his stroller. We got lots of FREEBIES! Loved it. Aryk even got his face painted.

Saturday was the walk. Nicole and Crystal joined me. It was fun! We walked the 3.1 miles in One Hour!! We didn't have rain or strollers. But there were a lot more women, this year. We had to wind through a lot of slow pokes. Next year we think we will try for the running wave. It was fun and a nice break.

Last year I didn't post the overhead finish line cam of myself, because they cut me out. This year we were waving our arms and jumping up and down the whole way through the finish line so that we could find ourselves on the overhead cam. But... there was no overhead cam. It was after the finish line off to the left. So... you can barely see our arms waving and a little bit of my tall head and Crystal's hat. BUMMER!!! Next year we are going to have to make a bigger deal, and actually know where the finish line camera is set up! See you next year!

More Baseball...

Yes, more. AJ is loving baseball. And we are love taking pictures!

Here's AJ batting and running the bases.

AJ being Catcher

AJ on the bench, waiting to bat

Uncle Cam helped AJ's team a couple times.

Aryk loves going to the games. He gets to be outside, and play with the baseball.
He loves baseball and his brothers!

Jeff is the assistant coach for AJ's team.
The head coach was out of town at this game so Jeff was pitcher.

AJ playing the field. He likes to pretend he is pitching, when playing the "pitcher" position.

Good game White Sox!

Ashton's Last Baseball Game

The Yankee's Rookie season is over. Last week was their last game. Thanks to Jeff and Cam for coaching!

More Baseball

AJ's baseball season has started and he is loving it! Jeff is the assistant coach for his team. He is on the White Sox. He is doing really well. He is in 6T-ball. The league moved him up a year, because they needed the help with coaches. So they get three pitches from the coach, if they don't hit it, they hit off the T. There are no outs, every player gets to hit once, then it's the other team's turn.

AJ playing the outfield.

AJ up to bat and rounding the bases!

Here's Ashton in the outfield.

There are more baseball pictures to come!

End of Football

WOW!!! I am taking forever to get these posted. Okay...

Ashton and AJ finished up football the end of April. The cold Saturday mornings are over! YEAH!!! We really enjoyed football, despite the cold and wind.
Here is Ashton's last game.

Right after the game we had donuts, chocolate milk, and TROPHIES!!! Ashton and AJ liked having Jeff as an assistant coach. Ashton's coach even gave Jeff a cool thank you award!

Here are pictures from AJ's last game.

After his game we went to a pizza place for pizza and TROPHIES!!!
Those trophies are the best part of the season! HOORAY!!

And what GREAT cheerleaders they both had. Aryk and mom were at EVERY game! Uncle Cam, Grandma and Grandpa Likes, and Aunt Nicole came too. And they had each other of course. Only one of their games overlapped. CRAZY. So they got to cheer each other on. Here's Uncle Cam helping AJ with a cheer! We NEVER would have made through the games without Grandpa! He helped with Aryk every time!

Way to go Cardinals and Seahawks! We can't wait for next season.

Ashton's Baseball Game

WOW!!! It has been a while, but that is because Baseball Season has started. Baseball and Football overlapped for a few weeks. Which meant we were busy EVERYDAY of the week! So... now football is over and baseball only has a few more weeks to go. Here are some GREAT shots of the boys playing baseball. Ashton is playing in the "Rookie" league. This is coach pitch. They have 3 strikes, 3 outs, but each team is only allowed 5 runs per inning. Ashton is having a lot of fun, and LOVES having his Dad and Uncle Cam as coaches! They are the Yankees.

AJ, Aryk, Grandma and Grandpa Likes are the best cheerleaders! We all love to go watch Ashton play ball!

AJ is playing too, but I will post his later.

Football

Here are some football pics we took with the new camera. I love the new lens!

Close-up of AJ showing the ref his equipment.

AJ lining up for a defensive play.

AJ with the ball, making a play!

AJ listening to Coach Dad tell him what to do. YEAH SEAHAWKS!!

Ashton lined up for a play.

Obviously, I'm still learning the camera, I didn't get it focused on the right player, but there's Ashton in the background running, with the ball in his arms.

I LOVED this play! Ashton going in for the hand-off.

Ashton faking the hand-off.

Ashton emerged from the crowd, no ball in hand! He totally faked me out! I was following him with the camera, and didn't realize he never actually took the ball! Good Play Cardinals!

The last play of the game was a pass. Ashton went out for it, was open, then...

over his head, not so open.

Interception. This game was a good game, but a bad game too. The other team had some really BIG guys, and were REALLY good. Our Cardinals tried to keep up. They definitely learned a lot, from this game. Go Cardinals!
