Clone Wars

As you know... My Boys (all four of them) LOVE Star Wars. The new Clone Wars is really neat for them too. Cartoon Network has a Clone Wars series. The boys made it a tradition, every Friday night, they sit down and watch these half hour cartoons. We were so excited for the second season of Clone Wars. We had a "Clone Wars" party! We ate Naboo Nuggets, Palpatine Pizzas, Ventress Vegetables, Yoda Soda, and Jabba Jell-o. Check out more at My Kitchen To Yours

The Spread

Aryk eyeing the food, waiting so patiently for dad to bring him his naboo nuggets.

AJ unsure he wants to eat anything with the name Jabba.

The boys (plus AJ's friend Zach) watching Clone Wars. An hour long season premiere! Too Cool! It really was a fun night, and I always loving playing food!

Halloween Pictures

My how busy Halloween has become! We filled our day FULL of Fun! I went to the school and did a Halloween Party with Ashton's class, then went to AJ's class for another Halloween Party! We came home, got our costumes on, and got ready for the ward trunk-or-treat. Sorry, no pics. We ate dinner there, then filled the buckets. After the trunk-or-treat, we went to Grandma Likes to trick-or-treat. Uncle Cam came home to visit, and we LOVED seeing him! Grandma took some fun pics of our family, now we just need to figure out how to get them from the phone to my blog! FINALLY, after most houses had gone dark, we made it home to trick-or-treat our own neighborhood. The big boys went with Dad to a few of the neighbor's houses. Aryk and Mom stayed home to answer the door for the two whole trick-or-treaters still out. Then before everyone called it a night, we got a family photo. Here is the most up-to-date Likes Family Photo.

Obi Wan, Yoda, Darth Vader, and Luke pose one more time as Leia BEGS them to hold still. We enjoyed Halloween.

Now if you don't all ready know this, dressing up is not just for Halloween. At our house, we play dress up just about every day of the week. The Halloween costumes had been worn many times before, and will be after. In fact, AJ couldn't wait to be Luke from Hoth, or Anakin with the black belt, or even Yoda.

Here's AJ wearing the Yoda costume Aryk was wearing! The unfortunate thing about this costume... we borrowed it. Yes, we have to return it. Last chance to be Yoda!

Ashton is 7!

Ashton turned 7 on August 6th. But we had parties all week!! Grandma Likes came the night before, and gave Ashton and AJ new Clone Trooper guns. Then on his birthday the Likes' side came with more Star Wars toys. Even Aunt Darlene came!! Aunt Nicole gave him a Clone Trooper Costume.

Here are Ashton and AJ showing off their Star Wars Skills. May the force be with you...

We took the boys to a Boise Hawks game, the night of Ashton's birthday. Grandpa Likes and Uncle Cam came too! Here are the three boys posing with Humphrey the Hawk.

Middle of the seventh inning, the kids went down on the field and sang "take me out the ball game." Then on Friday Grandma and Grandpa Holbrook, Great Grandma Ashton, and Uncle Devin flew up for a visit. Ashton, Jeff, Grandpa Holbrook, and Devin went to another Boise Hawks game. And on Sunday afternoon, we did another party, where the Holbrook side spoiled him. And we had a Superman cake, with ice cream. What fun birthdays. Thanks to Grandma's and Grandpa's for spoiling Ashton. He did get gifts from Mom, Dad, and brothers too!

Wow! Ashton is growing up. He is such a great kid. Ashton LOVES Star Wars and Baseball. He also enjoys swimming at Grandma and Grandpa Likes', Taking trips to Utah to see Grandma and Grandpa Holbrook, Transformers, Superman, Batman, Spider man, Basketball, Lego's, Reading, Math, and Science. Ashton is usually willing to try new things. He always tries to be good at everything. Sometimes he is disappointed if he isn't good at it right away. But, after some practice, he has become a pro. He is going to try soccer this fall. He is nervous that he won't be good at it, but is still willing to try. Ashton is a good older brother. He takes good care of AJ and Aryk. He is a great helper to mom and dad. He is such a people pleaser. He made becoming parents EASY, and helps us all enjoy our family. We love Ashton.
