Walking, Laughing, Crying, Playing

Lots of pictures of Aryk. We tried to catch him walking a couple times. Some days he would cooperate, and some, not so much.

I don't think we caught his steps on camera very well. But here they are.

While taking photos of his new walk, the other two boys had some fun with dad and the camera too. It was funny the way they kept trying to get in the shot. Aryk thought it was funny too. He was sitting behind them laughing. I love this picture of his laugh! More random photos of Aryk. Jeff was playing with the camera and trying out different things. Here is a funky shot he took. No filters. He thinks he was adjusting the lens while taking the shot. So... such is the craziness of our home... but wait, it gets better. Check back for more of our adventures....

Sweet, innocent Ashton! ????

While I was uploading the Easter photos, Aryk snuck over to the table and pulled on the camera strap. I yelled as I reached for the falling camera, but... missed it. The lens hit the floor and something inside is now loose. It is over exposing the pictures. The yell scared Aryk, so he started to cry. He continued to cry when I put him down to check out what was wrong with the camera. It seems as though the lens took the hit. When I put on the other lenses, it works fine. Luckily we have three different lenses? We will have to replace the one that broke, but we are not without a camera. And we didn't lose any pics.

Here are the boys doing their homework! YEAH!!! They are so smart and doing so well in school! Even if they can't wait for summer.

Yesterday was a nice sunny day. We pulled out AJ's old swing, and hung it for Aryk. He LOVED it!! He was just laughing, it was so cute and fun.

Aryk learned to wave last week. He waved goodbye as Ashton and Jeff left for baseball. But then I couldn't get him to do it for anyone else. Randomly in the grocery store parking lot, he started waving, at a lady, leaving in her car. Then randomly, he started waving in his swing. So... even if he won't wave on demand, here is some proof that he is waving (to himself)!

10 Months

WOW!!! This year is going by so fast! I can't keep up! Aryk is 30" long and weighs 21lbs. still. I guess he is burning a lot of calories with all his crawling.

I went crazy with the camera, of course. Between how adorable my baby is, and how much he moves around, there were a lot of different shots. Aryk doesn't hold still for anything! When we are changing his diaper or getting him dressed, he thinks it's a game. He loves to crawl away and make you chase him. Well... that's what he did while trying to take his photo. So, I made some more collages. I love this little guy and his playful personality. I can't get enough!

Aryk LOVES the piano. While visiting The Aldred's in Utah, Aryk found that he was tall enough to reach their piano keys. So as soon as we returned home, he had to try it on our piano! And sure enough two and a half feet is a perfect hight for playing the piano! So while taking photos and chasing him around, he had to make a couple stops at the piano. And at his train, and at his rocket. Anywhere but where mom set him! And he thought it was hilarious!

Here is Aryk on a random night at our house, last week. Getting into the usual drawer of plastic cups and bowls. He thinks he is drinking out of this empty water bottle. It was so cute!

While playing in Ashton and AJ's room, he found that this empty traveling toy box was perfect for him to travel in! Man, Ashton is getting strong! Aryk is such a delight. He is currently going through a fever and cold. So he isn't as happy as usual right now. But he is still fun and cute and loving... I could go on. No wonder I can't stop taking pictures! I miss my other two being this small. But it is nice to have the big brothers. They are good to Aryk and help out so much.

Our New Camera

So, while I was in Utah, Jeff found a REALLY good deal on a new digital SLR. We have thought about getting one for a while. We were just waiting for the right deal. Now we can get some good sport shots! No more missed touchdown passes! YEAH!! Here are some practice photos we have taken over the week. I LOVE this new camera. It feels weird going back to an SLR after having the point & shoot for 5 years. I forgot how many more, fun, creative things we can do! You can look forward to MORE and better pics from us! YEAH! We have taken A LOT of photos with our new camera. We are so excited. I tried to combine the groups into collages. I hope you don't mind looking at all these (by-the-way- this isn't all of them, just most of them!).

Aryk, of course, is in most of the pics, so I tried to do a collage of each boy.

Aryk, Aryk, and more Aryk

I have been saving up pictures for a couple weeks. Aryk is a camera hog. He turned 9 months last Friday (March 6). He is 21lbs. I can't believe how big he is. He is crawling, pulling himself to standing, has two bottom teeth, trying to express himself through noises, and loves to eat and play!

Now that Aryk is pulling himself to standing, he is also trying to see out the window. Here is our little guy trying watch the dogs out the back kitchen window.

For Aryk's 9 month pictures, I thought it would be fun to try some Black and White. These are the different faces of our baby! These are some collages of the different pictures I took. Yes some of them are repeats, but hang in there. I was having fun with the photo editor.

This one is my favorite. I love his cheeks and lower lip! I could just squeeze them all day!

Ashton and I wanted brownies for Family Home Evening. So Aryk sat in his high chair and helped. Maybe I shouldn't have put him so close to the mixer! What a mess. But we are having so much fun! And luckily, no allergies.

Happy Baby

Aryk is a happy baby. He is so fun. His bottom teeth FINALLY broke through. I can't seem to catch them on film. Here are some pictures of his fun smile, but you can't see those teeth. We think his top teeth are getting ready to come in too. Runny nose, chewing (more than usual), grumpy (not all the time, but more than this happy baby usually is)- all the signs are there. I hope it doesn't take two months like the bottom teeth!

He is one of those babies that sticks EVERYTHING in his mouth! Even the camera!

Aryk is always really happy after his morning feeding. A long nights sleep, some food, a clean diaper. Why wouldn't he be?

Aryk has started this "Elvis Lip" curl thing. It is soooo cute! I was wondering where it came from. Then one day while at church in the mother's lounge. I made a face at myself in the mirror (unhappy with what I was looking at), and I realized, I do that face!

Aryk Giggles

Aryk has started to giggle on occasion. We have tried a couple times to video this. It sounds more like grunting on the video. But it is cute! He is such a fun baby! And very happy. The video isn't so great, and it is sideways. I had Ashton video for me, but I didn't bother to check the camera first. Sorry... I hope you still enjoy the giggles!

And... one night while trying to get Aryk to giggle, I was making goofy noises with my lips, apparently it startled Aryk.
