Book Review

I just finished this book! Twilight, by Stephenie Meyer. She is a BYU graduate, in English literature. This book is the first in a series. I can't wait to read the other books. I was introduced to this book by my mother-in-law. She told me she received it from her sister, and that all the girls were reading this. It is about a teenage girl who falls in love with a vampire! I really thought, "this sounds weird". But I took the book, and started it. I couldn't stop reading it! I read it in four days! It was so fun, and imaginative. Yet it was very "love story" too! It reminded me of when Jeff and I were dating, and nothing mattered but wanting to be close to him!!!! The vampire has such a power over this girl, it is a lot like teenage infatuation. I recommmend this book. And I can't wait to read New Moon. A lot of people must really like these books, there 134 people on the waiting list at the library for it!

Up-to-date

That brings us up-to-date! We are now enjoying the snow and each other. Alyson is 20 weeks along! We are half way there! The boys are very anxious for the baby. This has been fun and exciting for all of us. We will continue to update this blog every few weeks, or as we take the pictures! This is so much easier than trying to e-mail pics to everyone! I hope I will keep up with the blog better than I did e-mail! I hope you enjoy reading/ viewing our Likes' Family Drama! Until next time!

Likes' Family Christmas

We spent Christmas in Utah with The Holbrook side of the Family. We spent time at the Ashton Family Party, then with Grandma June at her 90th Birthday Party!
We went to Pioneer Village and spent the evening having a "Pioneer Christmas".

Here are Alyson and Ashton, and Grandma and AJ, dancing around the Christmas Tree at the Church Social Hall. You can catch Aunt Erika and Cousin Zach in the background!

We did Christmas Eve with The Holbrooks, where Ashton was an Angel in the Nativity Skit.

We woke up Christmas Morning at Grandma and Grandpa Holbrook's house. Santa was VERY generous this year! We had so much fun! I don't know if we could fit it all into a blog!

Grandma Ashton gave all the Great Grandkids these cool hats from Slovenia. Here are all the "Holbrook" grandkids showing them off with Grandma Ashton. Emma, Grandma, Leah, Tyler, Ashton, Zach, and AJ.

Basketball Season

Ashton started Y-Ball in November. It was a fun season! He did really well, made new friends, and Jeff was his coach!

Ashton is Orange #4

Ashton's Trophy! Go Tigers!

Pumpkin Patch

AJ and I took a field trip with some friends to a local Pumpkin Patch. We got to pick our own pumpkin, go through maze, and see the chickens! It was fun.

October at the Zoo.

Back in October, Ashton's kindergarten class went to the Zoo. AJ and I went with them! We really enjoyed spending time with Ashton and his class, and with the animals!

Here we are with the monkeys.
My two monkeys didn't need any help knowing how to climb and be crazy!

Here are Ashton and AJ with the Sloth Bear. What Fun we had!

Starting a BLOG!

Wow! So, I decided everyone else has a blog! I want one too! Actually, I thought it might be an easy way to stay in touch, and keep up with our family drama. What a good way to start out the New Year. I will play catch-up for the past couple months and see what happens!
