No School? Now What?

Ashton and AJ didn't have school today. They needed something to do. After cleaning their room, and playing a little Star Wars, we did some science experiments. I had some dry ice, so we did a few fun things. We watched the smoke. We added dish soap, we added food coloring. We blew up a balloon, we carbonated apple juice. We made it glow, we blew bubbles, and we watched it evaporate. We were entertained for almost two hours! And the apple juice was fun to drink with our lunch. We even showed a couple of the tricks to Jeff when he got home! I think it was a fun, and educational way to spend our morning of no school. After lunch the boys watched a movie and played more Star Wars. Then after dinner we roasted marshmallows and made s'mores. We love having days off!! But we also enjoy school days!

Funny enough, the picture of your boy on the left looks like Cameron did at that age. That strong Holbrook gene!

It sounds like you are a very ambitious mother! I am impressed. I have trouble doing things that might make a mess, probably because there are always so many messes around me! Looks like they had fun! :O)
