#1 Teachers

My boys go to a GREAT school! We love the Principal (who is leaving :( ), teachers, and families there! The first week of May was teacher appreciation week. I lucked out this year and I'm room mom for both classes. Our PTO picked "All-Star Tailgate Party" for the theme. I planned something for everyday of the week, and for the most part, it all came together well. The cool parts of the week were "Favorite Day" on Wednesday; this was actually REALLY cool; EVERY child wore the teachers favorite color and brought in a small favorite gift. It was fun to see them file in wearing the same color and start handing her these things! And on Friday we presented them with the class gift and a mini-tailgate party. The class gift was a memory quilt. I took each child's picture and printed it on a 6x6 square. Each child wrote their name and did a small picture. I used their favorite color and a sports material. Another mom in Ashton's class helped. She did the embroidery for the teacher square and finished the edge on Ashton's class quilt. They look so cool! We LOVE our teachers!
